Christmas Tree Lighting
The holiday season gets kicked off 4-6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, with the annual lighting of the tree at city hall, 11607 Eagle Drive. Enjoy hot cocoa and seasonal eats from local chefs and bakers before the tree lighting at 5:30 p.m. The Barbers Hill Choir will sing carols and little ones can write letters to Santa.
Parents’ Night Out: Christmas PJ Party
It’s a win-win for the entire family Friday, Dec. 6, during a special parents’ night out event. Help the kids into their favorite festive pajamas and head over to the Eagle Pointe Recreation Complex, 12450 Eagle Pointe Drive, for an evening of fun-filled activities. There will be cookies and cocoa for the kiddos and a night out for you! Kids ages 1 to 10 are welcome; cost is $20 per child. An active Eagle Pointe Recreation Complex membership is required.
Christmas Market at the Park
If the kids aren’t too tired from their Christmas PJ Party the night before, continue the holiday fun 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 7, at the annual Christmas market at Mont Belvieu City Park, 10900 Eagle Drive. Local vendors will have a wide variety of unique gifts and seasonal finds, and children will enjoy bounce houses, a Bunny Hill snow play area, a foam play area, and more holiday activities for kids. Admission is free.
Christmas On the Hill Parade
Rounding out a weekend of holiday activities in Mont Belvieu is the annual Christmas on the Hill Parade, 6 p.m., Dec. 8. This holiday favorite is not only a cherished tradition for many Mont Belvieu families, it’s also a fundraiser, with all of the parade entry fees going to the West Chambers County Food Pantry. This year’s floats will be decked out holiday movie-style. It’s recommended to watch from the Barbers Hill ISD side of Eagle Drive for the best opportunity to catch candy and other handouts.
Breakfast with Santa
Santa is taking a break from his North Pole preparations to enjoy breakfast with children 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at The Hilltop at Eagle Pointe, 12430 Eagle Pointe Drive. Enjoy some of Santa’s favorite breakfast bites, photos with Santa, and holiday crafting. Admission is $15 per person, and time slots are from 8-9 a.m., 9-10 a.m. and 10-11 a.m.
